An article published last week by Brookings titled “Five economic development takeaways from the Amazon HQ2 bids” mentioned Hampton Roads, along with Northern Virginia and Greater Richmond, as offering a stronger case than most for inter-regional collaboration.
That’s great news for our region, and for the state as a whole. It provides a degree of objectivity to questions about how our economy and ecosystem is developing, and whether continued public and private investment into such development is warranted—to which we say, “Absolutely! We’re just getting started.”
A quick glance at StartWheel’s Events Calendar, Resource Directory, and Newsfeed sheds light on the myriad opportunities for entrepreneurs, small business owners, and innovators as well as corporate, institutional, and governmental stakeholders to engage with the broader business and startup community.
