Wondering what SWaM stands for or if you need a certification? The Small Women-owned and Minority-owned business certification program is a program of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The purpose is to enhance procurement opportunities for SWaM businesses participating in state-funded projects. Join us to learn more about the SWaM program and how to become certified. Come fuel up on lunch and learn about “SWaM Certification” at the Strome Entrepreneurial Center’s weekly Lunch & Learn event.
Erika Small-Sisco, Director of the Women’s Business Center at ODU (WBC) will provide this hands-on workshop. The WBC is inspired by women who are empowered, impassioned and committed to success. Recognizing the challenges of an increasingly complex marketplace, the WBC works to educate, inspire and support women entrepreneurs as they launch and grow influential and profitable businesses.
