Introduction to Node.js
by Aleksandr Podyachev

Node.js is Javascript run-time in a wrapper allowing Javascript to be run outside of a browser. This allows Javascript to be used as a server-side language. However, Node.js runs on an interrupt based paradigm. This means that it is good for I/O based applications but would struggle with processing heavy applications. Overall, I will be talking about the basics and showing what can Node.js do.
