Startup Night at The IncuHub
August 8 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Startup Night is a monthly event for entrepreneurs to network and share their newest business ideas. At some point, every new business owner has to start “pitching” an audience, whether for securing funding, marketing their business, or gaining new customers. What better place to hone your skill than in a friendly and supportive atmosphere? We are all about growing the entrepreneurial community by providing a platform for promoting the next innovative idea.
Meet other entrepreneurs, investors and business enthusiasts who come together to network and watch demos of hot new local technologies, startups and businesses.
We will be gathering at The IncuHub, a brand new co-working space and business incubator located in downtown Portsmouth to watch three local businesses/startups pitch their ideas in front of a live audience.
Marko Frigelj not only owns The IncuHub, but he and his team will be taking the stage for the first time to introduce ‘Gym Tech,’ an intelligent gym equipment technology with a potential to disrupt the fitness industry.
We will hear from Nate Fender, the co-founder of Ario, a local company that built an augmented reality productivity platform for creating and sharing real time spatial information.
And finally, Charles Clarke will tell us about ‘Heavenly Heat Salsa,’ his locally produced line of mouthwatering salsas.
The Startup Night schedule goes like this:
6:25-6:30 Introductions, upcoming events, etc.
6:30-7:30 Presentations – three new pitches!
7:30 pm Continued Networking
8:00 pm Wrap-up
If you have an idea that you want to pitch, then let’s talk about getting you on the schedule in the future!

PS If you are new to the area and want to learn more about the Hampton Roads entrepreneurial community, this is a great place to start. I first attended Startup Night two years ago, and ended up pitching my business idea the very next month. I never missed another event, and now I run the show!
