Teamwork Intervention Training | Anthro-Simulation
November 28, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Free Teamwork Intervention Training using anthro-simulation (serious game).
AGLX is training an additional trainer and we are offering FREE Teamwork Intervention Training for two or three teams, team size: 4-6. This free training is for executive teams, software teams or any military or first responder teams interested in improving their team performance.
Background: Business failures, mistakes at sea, mishaps, failing projects, and system breakdowns usually occur as a result of poor non-technical (teamwork) skills, NOT poor technical skills. The best way to train for non-technical skills, according to the science of teamwork, is through simulation. And cognitive and complexity science tells us that the best simulation approach is anthro-simulation.
Anthro-simulation is a method that creates a simulated environment which bears likeness to a real situation where tolerated failure is used to embed learning. In groups of 4-6, participants set off on a scientific expedition to Galaxy X-578, a simulated world, where they work as a team to solve interesting problems.
This simulation will help improve:
Mission Analysis—analyzing tasks, constraints, and resources.
Briefing Skills—building a shared mental model
Communication—closed loop communication and hand-offs
Strategy Formulation—developing courses of action
Systems Monitoring—Monitoring resources and constraints (Internal and external)
Conflict Management—Managing conflict, resolving disagreements
Collaboration—how well the team works as a team.
Debriefing Skills—the most important team event
Monitoring progress toward a goal
StartWheel’s mission is to centralize and mobilize efforts that foster the growth of entrepreneurism in our regional innovation economy. We aim to support and cultivate an entrepreneurial network in HRVA where talent, resources, information and leadership come together.
