What is it?
I|E Series is a collective of events in Hampton Roads celebrating, showcasing, educating, and inspiring innovators and entrepreneurs. The first event is dubbed I|E Series on Granby, as the Granby Street corridor boasts a significant density of entrepreneurial activity.
The ethos of the I|E Series is “Tell me something I don’t know”—we provide a platform through which audiences will leave with fresh ideas and action-oriented content.
Why are we doing this?
The I|E Series promotes collisions between entrepreneurs, talent, ideas, and resources. We are a collective of community leaders who believe in convening disparate elements of the ecosystem by creating density and intersections where such collisions can happen. Hampton Roads has many assets and resources available to startup founders, and we want to make sure everyone who ought to know about them knows about them.
Ultimately, our goal is to build awareness of the growing momentum throughout the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Where is it?
On Granby Street corridor in Downtown Norfolk. We're taking advantage the natural density of businesses, resource centers, and entrepreneurship in the downtown and NEON district. As with any new venture, the key is to start small and iterate—crawl, walk, run. Our intention is to start on Granby with the first iteration and expand programming beyond Norfolk to other entrepreneurial centers throughout the Hampton Roads region.
When is it?
We’re doing this by leveraging our collective strengths, audience, and resources to organize and cross-promote events under a common brand: I|E Series.
