Attracting and keeping talent is a challenge most businesses face. One way to find employees who meet the specific needs of your business is through apprenticeships. Approximately 91% of people who complete an apprenticeship are still employed nine months later. And did you know that veterans can become registered apprentices at your business?
Join the Denbigh-Warwick Business Association on Thursday, May 23 at 7:30 a.m. to discuss the benefits of apprenticeship programs for businesses. Hugh McLean, apprenticeship manager with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, will discuss how veterans can meet the needs of your business while offering unique perspectives and experiences. Mr. McLean will walk attendees through the Apprenticeship Approval Process and occupations that qualify for apprenticeships.
The meeting will be held at the Denbigh Community Center (15198 Warwick Boulevard). Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 8:00 a.m. To learn more, visit the Denbigh-Warwick Business Association’s Facebook page.
