Press Release from Startup Night
If Fyre Festival had first presented at Startup Night, two provocative documentaries might not be throwing so much shade…
Come out and meet other entrepreneurs, investors and business enthusiasts who come together to network and watch demos of hot new local technologies, startups and businesses.
The latest and greatest entrepreneurs from the community pitch their ideas and demo their products to the crowd.
Attendees come from all walks of life and industries. The crowd includes not just entrepreneurs, but bankers, lawyers, accountants, tech enthusiasts, investors, students, and maybe your cofounder.
After the pitch, the question and answer session gives the presenter important feedback and help from the diverse knowledge banks in the crowd. Everyone benefits!
The Startup Night schedule goes like this:
6:25-6:30 Introductions, upcoming events, etc.
7:30 pm Continued Networking
8:00 pm Wrap-up and head to local establishment
Every month we give three entrepreneurs the stage to promote their business plan. On Wednesday, Feb 13, we will gather at ODU Strome Entrepreneurial Center from 6-8pm to watch three brand new businesses pitch their ideas in Hampton Roads for the first time:
- Business partners Scott Mills and Brian Wilson own a recording studio in Virginia Beach that helps people of any background express themselves through music. Through the use of Neuroscience, they discovered how to capitalize on a proprietary algorithm that combines music patterns with pleasure in the brain. They can help you create music that people will literally love!
- Camping and outdoor equipment are expensive and confusing for the novice outdoorsman. OutWhere transforms inexperienced campers into adventurers ready to enjoy the great outdoors with accessible gear and easy-to-understand educational information.
- Overwhelmed with junk in your closets, or sick of those monthly storage unit fees? The Organize Guys offer a service to manage your spaces and declutter your life! Emmanuel will show you how his company can free up more of your time to spend on the things that you love.
