Virginia’s Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Trade for Technology, Robby Demeria, supported by the staff of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), is staging a number of Town Halls this summer to hear directly from those of us actively engaged in the Commonwealth’s innovation and entrepreneurship communities. They want to know what state government leaders can do in coming years to improve Virginia’s performance in commercialization, new venture creation, workforce development, and job growth.
A Town Hall is scheduled for the Hampton Roads region on June 18th at Norfolk State University, but you can attend any of the town halls that you wish. RSVP for any of the upcoming Town Halls by clicking here: commerce.virginia.gov/townhall
In addition, the team has prepared a short survey that they hope will provide actionable data to help guide policy decisions in the coming year. Here is the link to the survey. Please take 10 minutes to complete it, and feel free to share it with your contacts, add to your social media feeds, and so on!
